Murphy’s Pharmacies began operating in 1981 when founders Ray & Carolyn Murphy purchased their first pharmacy in Parkdale, PEI. While the primary function of Murphy’s Pharmacies is to provide the community with medication, the company’s mission is to be a trusted leader in health promotion, health education, and illness prevention; committed to building healthier communities.
Over the past 30 years, Murphy’s Pharmacies has grown to include pharmacy locations across PEI in Parkdale, Queen Street, East Royalty, Stratford, Morell, Cornwall, West Royalty, Kensington, Wellington, and Tyne Valley, Rustico and Summerside.
Murphy’s Pharmacies also operates a Home Health Care division, Health Education Services, Travel Health Clinics, and Murphy’s Community Centre in downtown Charlottetown.
